I've been speaking through Hebrews lately, and while studying it, there's one passage that really stood out to me. Hebrews 1:3, "He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and upholds the universe by the word of his power."

There's a few words that stand out here from the original text, that is: (1) radiance (ἀπαύγασμα, apaygasma)and (2) imprint (χαρακτήρ, charakter). I think it's really interesting that these two words only occur this one time in the Greek NT, and especially the 2nd word, that is used sometimes with an idea of "engraving" or "imprinting" something, and in this case, it's of Christ's exact representation of God's being. That Jesus Christ is not half a step below in the Godhead, but he is himself God!

What do you guys think?
